About

Two disciplines, one engineer

For 17 years I have delivered and transformed mission-critical networks for operators across the Middle East and Africa, rising from hands-on engineering to leading multi-vendor teams, network operations, and full digital-transformation programs at Huawei and Etisalat. I am used to owning delivery against hard SLAs, managing customer and executive stakeholders, and turning technical decisions into ROI the business can see.

In parallel I design and build software. I own a live consumer product end to end: a Flutter app on the iOS and Android stores and a Next.js and Node.js web platform. I built MCP-based AI automation for campaign orchestration, integrate Claude, Gemini and OpenAI into real workflows, and run the whole thing on Google Cloud with CI/CD across GitHub and GitLab. I am currently building big-data platforms with AI built in.

The result is a rare profile: someone who can own a problem from the org chart down to the deploy pipeline - set the strategy, manage the stakeholders, architect the system, write the code, and run it in production.

Technical Project Manager

Huawei, United Arab Emirates

Lead digital transformation and operations on a Tier-1 UAE operator's mobile-broadband program: smart assurance with ML-powered event management, OSS cloud migration, network-level traffic-aware power adaptation for a greener network, and cloud-based tooling. Primary customer interface, reporting through Power BI, Fine BI and MS Project, plus pre-sales for new microwave products.

Transmission Project Manager

Huawei, United Arab Emirates

Drove Middle East transmission projects to target, and led the operator's microwave acceptance team to SLA-based acceptance and billing. Stood up auditing systems that maintained deliverable quality and customer trust.

Microwave Delivery Manager

Huawei, DR Congo

Delivered new-build and modernization microwave to lift network availability, automated the network database and connectivity for clean handover to operations, and closed all contracted delivery units within SLA.

Service Delivery Manager / Network Operations Team Leader

Huawei, South Africa

Planned the delivery medium (fiber, GPON, microwave PTP and PTMP) for enterprise services within SLA, then led network operations to clear the transmission network of alarms, root-cause issues, and sharpen optimization with the operator's planning team.

Ran network operations and maintenance for constant availability and performance, governed managed-service contracts against SLAs and KPIs, and led the planned-activity and electro-mechanical teams that kept sites and power online.

Transmission Engineering: Site Engineer to Principal Engineer

Etisalat Misr, Huawei & Telecomax, Egypt

Installed and configured multi-vendor microwave links (Huawei, Ericsson, NEC, Cambium and more) and 2G/3G sites, planning roughly 400 links across 600 hops plus 1,600 broadband links and 12 long-haul hops, drove 97 percent TDM-to-IP migration on a live network, and supported B2B and pre-sales. The hands-on foundation under every later leadership role.

A full marketing and engagement console on Cloud Run: a WhatsApp campaign engine doing roughly 355 messages a minute via parallel fan-out and a media cache, a multi-provider AI chat inbox with human handoff, an in-browser AI creative studio, and a BigQuery ETL layer with machine-learning anomaly detection. Published as an anonymized engineering case study.

AI Voice Agent PBX Middleware

On-premise middleware that bridges an enterprise phone system (Alcatel-Lucent OmniPCX) to a cloud AI voice agent over pure SIP, on FreePBX and Asterisk. The AI answers general questions and can transfer to a human department, with automatic fallback to a human if the AI or the internet link is down. The PBX never touches the internet.

Own the roadmap, design and delivery of a consumer product: a Flutter app live on the iOS and Android stores and a Next.js, Node.js and React web platform. MEA carrier networks

Microwave and transmission at carrier scale

Planned and delivered roughly 400 microwave links across 600 hops, plus 1,600 broadband links and 12 long-haul hops on the regional core, and drove 97 percent of legacy TDM traffic onto IP on a live network. Multi-vendor throughout (Huawei OptiX RTN, Ericsson, NEC, Cambium), covering radio and link-budget planning, E-band, Super Dual Band and long-haul trunk, spectrum and frequency coordination, with SLA-based acceptance and automated database handover to operations.

Smart Assurance and AIOps

Architected NOC digital transformation on a Tier-1 UAE operator's mobile-broadband network: an ML-powered event-management system with topology-based root-cause analysis that collapses alarm storms into single actionable signals, automating 75 percent of Level-1 incidents at 99.6 percent SLA. Added Smart Assurance, GIS heat-mapping, and a smart login and logout workflow for preventive and corrective maintenance.

Deployed network-level, traffic-aware power adaptation across the network, cutting network operational expenditure by 11 percent, reducing network CO2 and lifting the operator's green-network indicators, all while holding availability targets, with positive first-year ROI and no new hardware.

OSS Cloud Migration

Led a mission-critical migration of OSS workloads off physical servers onto a containerized cloud architecture (Docker and Kubernetes) under ISO 27001 and NIST controls. Risk-managed and phased, delivered at 99.95 percent availability with zero outages and zero compliance findings, without breaking live network monitoring.

Fiber Smart Monitoring and Patrolling

Architected a fiber monitoring solution fusing a GIS fiber-route layer with NCE fault management and OTDR for fault localization down to the meter. Integrated a government smart-patrolling system to auto-schedule attendance where third-party works intersect the fiber, plus a mobile field-force app with GPS to dispatch the nearest engineer, with corrective and preventive photo evidence.

Delivered a centralized network operations command center consolidating monitoring and assurance for a government entity spanning five countries into a single operations view. Unified multi-vendor alarm feeds, standardized escalation, and gave one control surface over a footprint previously run country by country.

Onboard applications and servers into a Tier-1 operator production estate end to end: HLD acceptance, pilot, acceptance test procedure and production migration, with disaster recovery on an active heartbeat. Clear multi-dimensional security acceptance across information, architecture and network security including penetration testing, and integrate enterprise identity (Active Directory and IAM) and SIEM, including onboarding of LLM-enabled enterprise systems.
